Delay
Global Developmental delay occurs when a child exhibits a significant delay in the acquisition of milestones or skills, in all or most of domains of development.
Children with Global developmental delay can be trained and managed with specific attention to achieve improvements in motor functions as well as cognitive skills. Repeated and planned sessions of Physical therapy, Ayurveda, Occupational therapy, speech therapy along with suitable internal medications to enhance brain functions can bring out good results. The procedures taught during sessions must be practiced repeatedly and consistently. The younger the child, better and sooner will be the outcome as per our experience.
What causes developmental delay?
Developmental delay may be caused by many reasons. Genetic and environmental factors have an increasing impact on a child’s development.
Genetic factors
Children are at risk of acquiring developmental delay if they are born with a genetic or chromosomal abnormality such as Down’s Syndrome. This abnormal development may occur in the womb while the baby is still growing.
Environmental factors
Developmental delay may also occur due to premature birth, genetic and heredity disorders, and exposure to infections either before or after birth. Every child with developmental delay present differently. Some children may have delays in a particular area, such as walking while the rest of their skills may continue developing on time.
Physiotherapy for developmental delay
Physiotherapy treatment should be started as early as possible as a child’s brain can adapt easily therefore they respond well to treatment. Physiotherapy will help a child’s ability to learn how to complete everyday tasks more effectively and will improve balance, walking, handwriting and general physical activities.

You live in a comfortable room suitable for wheelchairs, with balcony and a spacious bathroom. Most of the rooms face South, with a view over Lake Constance. All rooms are equipped with a comfortable electric bed, telephone, internet access, TV set and room safe. Your will find a hair dryer, dressing gown and bath slippers.
Seha Garden International Hospital offer many additional services, e.g. your personal newspaper, fresh fruit, mineral water and, of course, attractive programmes for your leisure time and excursions.
The Seha Garden International Hospital offers all international patients a predetermined number of therapy hours per week. The treatment schedule will be prepared individually for each patient and adjusted to the patient’s health status.
The Seha Garden International Hospital is equipped with highly specialised therapeutic devices. The Allensbach site has a swimming pool for hydrotherapy and also provides ultramodern therapeutic machines e.g. the Vector system (for gait training) and the Armeo system.
You need to pay in advance to ensure payment of the incurring costs. If your payment exceeds the sum stated in the final invoice, the overpaid money will, of course, be refunded. If the sum stated in the final invoice exceeds your advance payment due to unforeseen complications, we will ask you to pay the outstanding amount.
